Professional Experience
Aaron Apodaca is a Manager with Manatt Health Solutions, a policy and business advisory unit within the national healthcare practice at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP. Mr. Apodaca provides business and technology strategy advice to public and private-sector clients engaged in the financing, delivery, and advancement of healthcare services and health information technology.
Mr. Apodaca's ability to synthesize strategic, technical and financial considerations enables him to help clients ranging from Fortune 100 healthcare and technology firms to early- stage, consumer-centric health IT start-ups, developing solutions that further their business objectives. With close to ten years of information technology experience, Mr. Apodaca has worked with leading health information technology vendors, foundations, pharmaceutical manufacturers, health plans, electronic health record networks, and consumer-centric health information technology companies on business case development, product strategy and management, systems design and implementation, and financial planning.
Prior to joining Manatt Health Solutions, Mr. Apodaca was a consultant with Object Health, a management consulting group that merged with Manatt Health Solutions, where he assisted clients with health information technology readiness and selection, as well as electronic health record network development in the community health center sector. Prior to Object Health, Mr. Apodaca acquired in-depth technical, financial, and operational experience as an independent consultant as well as in roles with niche Internet and manufacturing start-ups. While working as an independent consultant, Mr. Apodaca designed and implemented a Web-based telemedicine system that supported preventative eye care for thousands of diabetics. Mr. Apodaca began his career as an analyst in the critical business systems unit at DirecTV.
